Anterior temporary crown could be placed over a broken down tooth as a temporary measure until patient can see his/her dentist. It provides improved esthetics for a short period of time. Crown could be secured in place with Thermal Fitting Beads. Select correct size of the crown and try it on to make sure that it will work. Once beads are soften according to Instructions, place them inside temporary crown and fit crown over the broken tooth. MAKE SURE THAT BROKEN TOOTH IS DRY BEFORE PLACING CROWN. To improve crown stability, you might want to place extra fitting beads from the back side of the crown and in between crown and adjacent teeth. Close your teeth together to make sure you are comfortable. Chewing is NOT RECOMMENDED.
BONDING: Once the fitting beads begin to harden, gently ease down and remove your crown. Do not allow the fitting plastic to fully harden around your teeth. Hardening usually takes about 30 seconds. If you satisfied with the look and fit, then place the whole unit into cold water to secure the fit. If you are not happy with the fit, reheat using same Instructions and remold.
With this kit you have 2 options: If were able to find good temporary crown then use option 1, which was described above. Option 2: If you cannot find temporary crown which fits you, then you can use fitting beads and form your own temporary crown using thermal fitting beads only. Below you can see 2 Instructional videos how to proceed with option 2. You can find Second Video under PRODUCT VIDEO tab. When using option 2, you can always make adjustments by reheating beads, or cutting excess material using knife or scissors.
If you have questions during a process, you can always post your questions and we will be happy to answer.
