You know; many people do not take good care of their ears. They have absolutely no regular ear cleaning regime and they simply treat the ears with a lack of respect (listening to loud music etc.). This is a great shame as many people do not realize until far too late that they have a problem with their hearing. Sadly; hearing loss can’t be restored. This is why it is important that you take the initiative now to ensure that you have a good quality ear cleaning regime and ensure that you have a process that ensures safe ear wax removal. Soon we will be discussing one of the main techniques for this; ear candling, but for now we are going to discuss a little bit about why you should be keeping your ears nice and clean. Read more…
The Importance of Correct Ear Care
The ear is incredibly delicate. Whilst it is more than capable of putting up with quite a bit of abuse (most of the body is!), it will eventually fail. As mentioned previously; if your ears start to fail then it is unlikely you will get your high quality hearing back. Most cases of hearing loss are 100% preventable. I am not going to talk to you about avoiding loud noises or wearing ear plugs. This is common sense, or at least it should be. What I want to talk to you about is ear wax removal.
Ear wax is designed to protect the inner ear from infection (it will catch anything as it enters the ear the stop it impacting the ear drum). For the most part the body should find it fairly easy to eradicate the ear wax build up. In some cases however the body is unable to get rid of the ear wax simply because there is too much build-up. This is where ear wax cleaning will come into play. Do not even entertain the notion of putting a q-tip (or anything else for that matter) into your ear though. This won’t help in the slightest. Instead you will want to look into techniques such as ear candling, regarded as one of the most effective ear cleaning techniques out there at the moment.
Ear candling will use something known as an ‘ear candle’. An ear candle is basically a cotton or linen cloth wrapped up into a candle shape. It is then soaked in wax before everything hardens together. An ear candle will often be paired with a special plate which will collect the wax dripping from the candle. This plate will be inserted into the ear canal.
The process of ear candling is rather simple. When the candle is lit, it is believed that a small vacuum will be created in the ear canal. It is said that this will draw wax and anything else in your ear up into the small candle. Most people will feel a great sense of relief after the process has been completed.
Whilst ear candling can be performed in the comfort of your own home, it is worth noting that the special care must be taken while performing ear candling process. If you are not comfortable with the notion of placing a burning candle into your ear then you might consider seeking professional help in order to have your ear cleaning carried out. You can of course purchase candles online to do it yourself. Do make sure you understand the process fully though or it won’t work.
