FEEDING BABIES AND WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT IT
Evidence and scientific studies can point you in the right direction, and today more researchers acknowledge that things like breastfeeding can contribute to a healthier life for your child. Of course, many moms opt to feed their babies using baby bottles to get their nutrition and this method hasn’t proven to have any major drawbacks.
Baby feeding is an important time in your child’s life and can help determine their future in big ways. As you child progresses past baby bottles, the next step is to teach them to feed themselves. Using the right instruments is the key to making this work. Baby spoons are important during this transition. If you child doesn’t like the baby spoons you give her, she will likely fight feeding herself. Baby feeding also means more than just forcing healthy food down your child’s throat. It involves teaching your child what to eat and how to eat. Over time, children learn their eating habits from their parents so it is imperative that you eat properly right from the beginning, and teach them why eating certain foods is important.
When you start using bowls, baby spoons, and plates it’s time to eliminate baby bottles from the equation. Out of sight, out of mind and if your baby is confident you aren’t changing your mind about drinking from a bottle any more she will likely bend to your new baby feeding requirements.
While there is no real ‘wrong’ way to feed your child, using the right equipment can certainly help. Either way, you baby will do fine as long as you give her the nutrition she needs to be healthy.
