Herbal Supplements Fight Off Inflammation
It is worth noting that whilst a few of these anti inflammatory herbs work well as an anti-inflammatory product on their own, that they work even better as an anti-inflammatory when used in tangent with other herbs. I always suggest that you pick up a product which contains multiple herbs at once. That will really bring down the inflammation.
- When it comes to anti inflammatory herbs, you are not going to get that much better than turmeric. This is because it contains a substance known as curcumin. The curcumin is especially useful as an anti-inflammatory if you are dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. In fact; many medical studies have pointed out that turmeric works just as well as anti-inflammatory as most medications on the market.
- Ginger should also be right at the top of your list of ‘must try’ anti-inflammatory herbs. You will find that the majority of ‘natural’ products on the market designed for dealing with inflammation will contain some ginger. This is an herb which has been used for many years and studies have shown time and time again that it is effective. In fact; a 1992 study demonstrated that 75% of the participants notice a great decrease in their symptoms when they used ginger to deal with them.
- Frankincense, or Bosewellia Serrata as it is sometimes known, contains a compound which can inhibit the body’s inflammatory response. Again; this is something which has been proven to be incredibly effective for those who are suffering from auto-immune conditions. There is absolutely no reason as to why it can’t deal with almost all types of inflammation however (e.g. a toothache or rosacea)
- Alfalfa: Chlorophyll, a compound which appears in most plants, has been studied extensively to determine its impact on inflammation in the body. These studies have had some pretty positive results. Alfalfa is an herb which contains an unusually high amount of chlorophyll and thus it is absolutely fantastic. You can purchase it as a supplement (the majority of natural supplements on the market will include Alfalfa), or you can simply stir some of it into a stew or a soup.
- Stinging Nettles are fantastic at removing the chemicals which cause inflammation in the body. Obviously you don’t want to eat these raw (they are called stinging nettles for a reason), so try and look for products which contain them as a supplement.
Remember; if you are going to be purchasing products which contain anti inflammatory herbs, it is always suggested that you purchase the best you can afford. The better the product; the more of a positive impact it will have on your body.
