What Is Tooth Whitening? How does Teeth Whitening Work?
Tooth whitening is a procedure that utilizes safe and highly effective carbamide peroxide to lighten tooth discoloration. The structure of the tooth remains unchanged, only the color is made lighter. If you are allergic to peroxides, you should avoid using this product.
Fast White Teeth Whitening Gel whitens teeth by neutralizing discoloration. As the professional strength carbamide peroxide is activated, gentle xygenation removes the colored substances deep within the tooth's enamel. Since your tooth's enamel is transparent, once lightened it will let the natural color of the tooth show through. This safe and gentle process is proven to be very effective for whitening teeth in the convenience of one's own home.
Is the Fast White System simple to use?
Yes! Your custom formed trays fit comfortably into your mouth and are designed to hold our professional strength teeth whitening gel securely in place. Usual dosage is one 60-minute application per day for 5 consecutive days. There is no need to wear the teeth whitening trays overnight as recommended by some systems
because the whitening effect of our professional teeth whitening gel is maximized within 60 minutes. It's that simple.
How long should I wear the Fast White Teeth Whitening Gel?
Fast White's safe and effective ingredients work in just 60 minutes a day for five
days, with no overnight whitening required. Trays should be worn for no longer than 90 minutes per treatment, unless otherwise recommended by your Dentist. Some tingling in the gums may result from excessive use of trays without further significant whitening benefit. For optimal results, avoid using staining agents such as coffee, tea, red wine, grape juice and tobacco during your treatment period.
What is the benefit of using the Fast White Sure-Fit whitening trays?
The Sure-Fit whitening trays conform closely to the contours of your teeth to provide maximum whitening while lessening the possibility of gum irritation and are practically unnoticeable when worn. Our Sure-Fit custom formed trays optimize whitening success by keeping the solution in contact with the teeth and away from the gums.
Will Fast White affect my fillings, crowns or veneers?
No. Fast White whitening products contain peroxides, which will not change the appearance of your fillings, crowns or veneers.
Can tooth whitening damage my teeth or gums?
Substantial clinical and laboratory research has shown that tooth whitening gel has no adverse effects on teeth or gums if used properly.
Are there any side effects from using Fast White?
A few Fast White users may experience mild, temporary tooth sensitivity. This may occur during the first week of whitening and will subside when you discontinue whitening. You should discontinue use if pain or sensitivity develops in the teeth or gums and contact your dentist.
Can I whiten if my teeth are sensitive?
You can use Fast White Teeth Whitening System even if you have sensitive teeth. You help alleviate sensitivity by wearing the Whitening Gel for a shorter period of time as you begin whitening treatment. Using Sensodyne toothpaste in conjunction with the Fast White Teeth Whitening System can also reduce tooth sensitivity.
Who can use the Fast White Teeth Whitening System?
Nearly anyone who wants a more confident, vibrant smile. However, teeth whitening has not been tested on pregnant or lactating women or recommended for children under age 14.
What about laser bleaching?
So-called laser bleaching simply consists of using a very strong teeth whitening solution and "activating" the solution with laser or other high intensity light. Due to the strength of the teeth whitening solution this procedure must be undertaken in the dental office. Recent research, however, has proven this concentrated teeth whitening gel is just as effective without light "activation" and, in fact, gives the exact same results when used alone. The "laser" concept is more marketing hype than fact. Does this procedure work? Yes, but it can take up to three dental office visits or more, cost up to $1000 and often results in post treatment tooth sensitivity. Also laser teeth whitening needs to be redone on a regular basis or maintained with a custom tray teeth whitening system like Fast White. Is the final result better than the Fast White System? No, your final result will not be as good as the Fast White results, additionally, you can touch-up any time you like with your Fast White Teeth Whitening System
Are Crest White Strips® just as effective and easy to use?
No. Crest White Strips® are self-adhesive plastic strips that are designed to stick to the teeth and release teeth whitening gel. Do they work? Well sort of. First, most users find them difficult to properly position and keep in place for the recommended time. Second, they must be used twice a day for up to four weeks. Third, they only cover the front six teeth and don't fit large, small or crooked teeth properly. They can help whiten the front teeth but your smile becomes "two toned". Look in a mirror. When you smile you show teeth behind the canines. With White Strips® the teeth behind the canines stay dark making the smile two different shades, dark and light. This is not the case with the Fast White System that treats all the teeth uniformly.
